Former Deputy Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, ESV Rt. Hon. Remmy Hazzan, has commiserated with the family of the late Chief Victor Olabisi Onabanjo over the death of their matriarch, Mrs. Lucia Onabanjo, who passed away at the age of 101.
In a condolence message addressed to Hon. Mrs. Bukola Onabanjo and the entire Onabanjo family, Hazzan described the late centenarian as a woman of strength, dignity and enduring faith, whose life was devoted to family, service and moral values.
He said Mrs. Onabanjo stood as a quiet pillar behind a household whose name is firmly etched in the political history of Ogun State and Nigeria, being the matriarch of the family of the late Chief Victor Olabisi Onabanjo, the first civilian governor of the state.
According to him, the deceased nurtured generations, instilled discipline and moral clarity, and left behind a legacy of stability and love that would continue to resonate long after her passing.
“Her peaceful transition at the remarkable age of 101 marks the close of a long, purposeful and gracious life richly invested in family, values and service,” Hazzan stated.
While expressing gratitude to God for her fulfilled life, he prayed for strength and comfort for her children, grandchildren and the entire Onabanjo family, asking that her soul rest in perfect peace.
