Fidelity Bank Plc, which has exhibited remarkable growth with a 204.4 percent surge in profit before tax in the first half of 2023, has revealed the date for the payment of interim dividends to its shareholders.

In a statement presented by the company secretary, Ezinwa Unuigboje, the bank disclosed that the interim dividend will be electronically disbursed to shareholders on the 22nd of September.

Only shareholders whose names are on the register as of the 15th of September will be eligible to receive the dividend.

This marks the second occasion when the bank will reward its shareholders with an interim dividend.

Under the leadership of Mrs. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, who took the helm as CEO in December 2020, Fidelity Bank has seen substantial growth in recent years, boasting stellar performance.

For the first half of 2023, the bank reported earnings of N247 billion, a significant increase of 59.6 percent compared to the N154.8 billion earned in the corresponding period of 2022.

Profit before tax witnessed a remarkable growth of 204.4 percent, reaching N76.3 billion, while profit after tax amounted to N61.9 billion, signifying a growth rate of 166 percent compared to N23.3 billion recorded in the same period of 2022.

Consequently, earnings per share stood at N1.94, reflecting the bank’s robust financial performance.
