The Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abeokuta, Professor Abdus-Samiu Adewale Musa-Olomu, has been named the recipient of the 2024 PR Primus Innovative Leadership Award.
The award recognizes his transformative efforts in elevating FMC Abeokuta into a top-tier health services provider in Nigeria.
Prof. Musa-Olomu’s tenure at FMC Abeokuta has seen groundbreaking achievements, including the commencement of open-heart surgeries and the development of critical infrastructure.
His leadership has driven exceptional improvements in healthcare delivery at the 30-year-old institution, significantly enhancing its prestige.
The Managing Director of PR Primus, Mr. Akin Okudero, praised Prof. Musa-Olomu for his visionary approach, noting that his expertise and extensive network had played a pivotal role in the success of human capital development programmes at the FMC.
These initiatives have contributed to the facility’s growing reputation as a centre of medical excellence.
Prof. Musa-Olomu will receive the award at the 10th anniversary of the “Your Image” Awards and Annual Lecture, slated for Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the Park Inn by Radisson Hotel in Abeokuta.
The event will feature a lecture, empowerment schemes, and awards presentations to individuals and organizations demonstrating outstanding humanitarian services and innovative standards in their respective fields.
Educated at the University of Ibadan and Olabisi Onabanjo University, Prof. Musa-Olomu is a distinguished member of the West African College of Surgeons and has received numerous grants and accolades over the years.
He is the fourth substantive Medical Director of FMC Abeokuta.
PR Primus Limited, the organizer of the awards, is a pioneer of the “Your Image” public relations program, which marks its 10th year on television.
The anniversary celebration promises to honour trailblazers across various sectors, recognizing their contributions to societal advancement.
