    Former Chief Of Staff To Goodluck Jonathan, Brigadier General Arogbofa, Passes Away at 72

    Brigadier General Jones Oladeinde Arogbofa (Rtd), the ex-Chief of Staff to former President Goodluck Jonathan, has passed away at the age of 72.

    Arogbofa’s demise occurred on Saturday, February 10, with the circumstances surrounding his death remaining unclear at the time of this report. His family has not issued any statement regarding his passing.

    Former senator and Silverbird Group founder, Ben Murray-Bruce, expressed his condolences via X on Saturday, stating, “I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Brigadier General Jones Oladeinde Arogbofa (Rtd), the former Chief of Staff to former President Goodluck Jonathan. He was a dear friend.

    “ His wisdom, integrity, and dedication to Nigeria will forever be remembered. 

    “A true hero has left us, but his legacy endures. Rest in peace, dear friend.”

    Born on November 10, 1952, in Oka-Akoko, Ondo State, Arogbofa served in the military before becoming Jonathan’s right-hand man from 2014 to 2015.

    Educated at institutions such as Obafemi Awolowo University and the University of Ibadan, he retired as a Brigadier General before venturing into politics.
