In a bid to curb the alarming rate of road accidents during the Ember Months, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Celebrity Special Marshals, Ogun State Unit, has launched a road safety jingle to promote safe driving practices and raise public awareness.

The jingle, officially unveiled in Abeokuta, Ogun State, is part of a broader campaign by the Celebrity Special Marshals to foster road safety and minimize road traffic crashes, which often surge between September and December due to heightened vehicular activities.

Speaking virtually at the launch, the National Head of the FRSC Celebrity Special Marshals Unit, Julie Chi-Nwaoha, highlighted the significance of the initiative, describing the jingle as “catchy and memorable,” with a clear message aimed at promoting road safety.

“We are committed to using every available platform to promote road safety awareness and reduce road crashes,” she stated.

Similarly, the Unit Coordinator, Kehinde Soaga, emphasized the jingle’s role in advancing road safety objectives, noting that it complements ongoing efforts to ensure safer roads for all users.

“This jingle is just one part of our broader efforts to make our roads safer for all users,” Soaga said.

The FRSC Celebrity Special Marshals, Ogun State Unit, comprises notable personalities who collaborate with the Corps to champion road safety campaigns and support initiatives aimed at reducing road crashes.

The jingle, available for download on multiple music platforms, will also air on radio stations and other media outlets throughout the Ember Months, reinforcing its message across various audiences.

The Ember Months have become synonymous with increased road accidents due to heightened travel activities. Consequently, the FRSC has consistently rolled out initiatives to educate and enlighten motorists, emphasizing the need for caution and adherence to traffic rules.

For further inquiries, the Unit Coordinator, Kehinde Soaga, can be contacted directly.
