The Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), Prof. Kolawole Adebayo, and the immediate past Ogun State Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Adeola Odedina, were among prominent individuals honoured by their colleagues 40 years after completing their studies.
The recognition took place at the inaugural reunion ceremony of the 1984-1986 class of the School of Agriculture, Akure, now the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure, formerly part of Obafemi Awolowo University (then University of Ife).
The event, held in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, marked four decades since the group embarked on their journey in the agricultural sector.
The reunion celebrated the remarkable achievements of the alumni, who have grown to become influential leaders in their respective fields.
Among them are captains of industry, traditional rulers, agricultural experts, legal luminaries, seasoned administrators, and military personnel.
The President of the Edu Graduate 84/86 Set, Barrister Samuel Alomo, expressed gratitude to his colleagues for making the reunion a reality.
He noted that the event symbolized the enduring bond and shared commitment to excellence among members of the class.
In his address, Barr. Alomo presented awards to several individuals for their outstanding contributions to the association and nation-building. Recipients included:

In their individual remarks, the awardees appreciated the leadership of the association for the recognition.
They described the honour, coming from colleagues of 40 years, as a unique and heartfelt acknowledgment of their efforts and impact over the decades.
