Gaza: Fani-Kayode criticizes Israel, calls for global support for Palestinians [VIDEO]

Former Nigerian Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has expressed concern over the ongoing crisis in Gaza.

In a recent interview with the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation, Fani-Kayode described the war as a “genocide” perpetrated by the Zionist state against Palestinians.

He accused Israel of committing atrocities against Palestinian children, women and men, using advanced weaponry with impunity.

“This is not just a recent issue but a long-standing tragedy,” Fani-Kayode asserted. “What has unfolded over the past 11 months is a stark revelation of the Zionist state’s barbarity. Thousands of innocent Palestinians are being slaughtered while the so-called civilized world remains passive.”

He criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other key figures, labeling them as perpetuators of evil and likening them to historical tyrants.

Fani-Kayode argued that Netanyahu’s administration seeks to continue the occupation and expand its territory, with little regard for human life or international condemnation.

Despite the grim situation, Fani-Kayode praised the resilience of the Palestinian people, noting their unwavering spirit in the face of prolonged adversity.

He suggested that the international community should rally more robustly in support of Palestinians, drawing parallels with past struggles against oppression, such as the fight against apartheid in South Africa and slavery in America.

The former minister also spoke about the possibility of armed conflict as a response to the occupation, though he emphasized his preference for a peaceful resolution.

He advocated for a two-state solution, though he acknowledged that this approach has been largely rejected by the Israeli government.

Fani-Kayode defended the right of Palestinians to resist oppression, drawing comparisons to historical figures who fought against tyranny. He underscored his belief in eventual justice for Palestine, despite the current global power dynamics.

“Our fight for justice and freedom is not in vain. Evil may persist for a time, but eventually, it will be overcome. We must continue to speak out and support the oppressed, as history has shown that righteousness ultimately prevails.”
