Goldberg Omoluabi Day 2024, Oyato: Celebrating Those Made Different

Get ready to channel your inner Omoluabi, because Goldberg is celebrating its legendary “Goldberg Omoluabi Day” for the fourth year running! On Wednesday, 11th September 2024, the air will be filled with excitement and a whole lot of pride as we come together to celebrate the rich values that make us so exceptional.

This year’s theme, “Omoluabi to Yato,”takes things up a notch. For the unaware, “Omoluabi” is the highest compliment you can give someone—a person of impeccable character, someone who values integrity, hard work, and respect. “Oyato” simply means “different in a good way.” So basically, we’re celebrating all the outstanding Omoluabis who stand out from the crowd. And guess what? It could be you!

Goldberg has thrown down the challenge to us: if you know someone who’s the epitome of an Omoluabi (you know, that one friend who’s always doing good and never asking for credit), now’s your chance to shine a light on them. Head over to Goldberg’s social media pages, drop a story about your nominee in the comments, and don’t forget the magic hashtag #OmoluabiToYato. Join the Goldberg Omoluabi day Instagram live show featuring Odunlade and Mr Macaroni happening on the 11th of September by 6pm. Did we mention there are some pretty cool prizes up for grabs? You’ll want to get in on this, trust us.

But let’s not forget how far we’ve come. The very first Omoluabi Day back in 2021 was an epic affair, with His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, gracing the occasion and giving Goldberg a royal thumbs up for celebrating our culture.

This year promises to be even bigger, bolder, and packed with more Omoluabi vibes. Goldberg is turning the spotlight on those unsung heroes who quietly make their communities better through sheer character, hard work, and respect for others. Whether you’re nominating or just showing up to enjoy the fun, “Goldberg Omoluabi Day” is where culture meets cool. After all, it’s not every day you get to be part of something so special—so don’t miss out. See you on the 11th!
