Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, officially presented a first-class staff of office to the newly-installed Chief of Moro’a, His Royal Highness Isiaku Tagwai Sambo, in Kaura Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking at the coronation ceremony, Governor Sani described traditional rulers as critical stakeholders in governance, saying they serve as custodians of peace, drivers of grassroots mobilization, and key partners in policy implementation.
He said his administration remains committed to supporting traditional institutions, which he noted play an integral role in promoting unity and development across communities.
“Since assuming office, we have carried all zones and citizens of Kaduna State along without discrimination. Our state is today safer and more stable than before, and we owe part of this to the support of our traditional leaders,” the governor stated.
Governor Sani further called on the people of Kaduna State to live peacefully with one another, urging traditional leaders to continue guiding their subjects towards harmony, tolerance, and collective progress.
The event, which drew dignitaries from across the state and beyond, came after the demise of the former Chief of Moro’a, Mallam Tagwai Sambo, who died on June 14, 2024, at the age of 88 after ruling for 58 years.
In his acceptance speech, the new Chief, His Royal Highness Isiaku Tagwai Sambo, pledged to lead with transparency and integrity. He assured the governor and the people of Moro’a Chiefdom of his readiness to serve diligently.
“We shall work together as one united family, myself, the traditional council, and the good people of Moro’a, to fulfil the great responsibility placed on our shoulders,” he said.
