    HIV, Hepatitis B Patients, Three Others Rape 14-Year-Old Hawker In Jigawa

    Suspected patients of HIV and  Hepatitis B  and  three others have been arrested for  allegedly raping  a 14-year-old girl who sells Fura (Wara) in Jigawa state.

    PLATFORM TIMES gathered that the Jigawa State Police Command apprehended the suspects in the Jahun Local Government Area of the state.

    The Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday.

    The suspects: Aliyu Sani, 50, Rabi’u Ibrahim, 45, Idris Haruna, 38, Hussain Mato,32, and Rabi’u Inuwa, 50, were accused of perpetrating the crimes.

    The suspects raped a 14-year-old girl, who sells Tofu (Awara).

    PLATFORM TIMES gathered that Sani allegedly lured the young girl into a room occupied by Rabiu Ibrahim, where both individuals reportedly committed raped her.

    The Police said all the suspects, alongside the victim, underwent medical examination at the Sexual Assault Referral Center Dutse.

    But, shockingly, one of the suspects, whose identity is being withheld, tested positive for HIV.

    Additionally, another suspect was diagnosed with hepatitis, compounding the potential health risks faced by the victim.

    The Jigawa State Police Command said the arrested suspects are going to face legal proceedings as they are set to be arraigned in court.
