Tragedy struck in the Arigbajo area of Ogun State on Friday as a 43-year-old man, Rafiu Lasisi, was reportedly paralyzed after a sexual encounter with a married woman at a local hotel.

PLATFORM TIMES gathered that Lasisi checked into Winnas Hotel and Suites in the company of one Latifat Shobowale, a mother of three, for what was described as a “short-time rest.”

However, events took a dramatic turn as Lasisi reportedly collapsed and became immobile shortly after engaging in a round of sexual intercourse.

A police incident report obtained by PLATFORM TIMES revealed that the hotel’s owner, Chief Eze Williams Okonko, who also doubles as the Eze Ndigbo of the area, rushed to the police station to report the incident.

According to the report, the woman raised an alarm around 11:30 a.m. when Lasisi was unable to stand up after the encounter.

It was also stated that his left hand and leg became paralyzed on the spot.

The report read in part: “One Rafiu Lasisi, male, aged 43, of Arigbajo area, came to the hotel with his concubine, one Latifat Shobowale, a married woman and mother of three, for a short-time rest.

“After about thirty minutes in the room, the lady raised an alarm that Lasisi could not get up to clean up in the toilet after one round of sexual intercourse. His left hand and leg became instantly paralyzed.”

Following the report, detectives from the local police division visited the scene, and the victim was immediately rushed to the State Hospital for emergency treatment.

He was later referred to the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, for advanced care.

Meanwhile, the woman involved, Latifat Shobowale, has been taken into custody for questioning as part of ongoing investigations into the incident.

As of the time of filing this report, Lasisi remains hospitalized while the police continue to probe the circumstances surrounding the bizarre medical emergency.

The Ogun State Police Command has yet to release an official statement, but a source at the station confirmed that updates would be made available as the investigation progresses.
