Convicted Nigerian internet fraudster Ramon Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi, has once again stirred controversy despite his incarceration in a United States prison.
In a now-viral video, Hushpuppi was seen virtually spraying money on Nigerian singer Segun Johnson during a FaceTime call.
The video, which surfaced online, shows a woman on the video call with Hushpuppi as she lavishly sprayed cash on the singer.
Johnson, who acknowledged the source of the money, expressed gratitude, describing it as coming directly from the jailed socialite.
This latest spectacle has raised questions about Hushpuppi’s access to luxury while serving an 11-year sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI), Fort Dix, New Jersey.
Hushpuppi, who was convicted for money laundering, is expected to complete his sentence on August 6, 2029.
This isn’t the first time the social media influencer has grabbed attention from behind bars.
In January 2024, he marked the birthday of popular socialite Tunde Ednut with a grand celebration, sparking debates about the privileges enjoyed by high-profile inmates.
