The controversy surrounding social media influencer, Ayomiposi Oluwadahunsi, popularly known as Mandy Kiss, deepened on Friday after she released an emotional video renouncing her earlier claim of attempting a Guinness World Record (GWR) for sleeping with 100 men in 24 hours.
In a one-minute, eight-second clip obtained by PLATFORM TIMES, the self-styled “President of Olosho” pleaded with Nigerians to forgive her, insisting that her viral flier was nothing more than a publicity stunt to boost her social media engagement.
“Why arrest? How much do I even have in my account? I cannot afford a lawyer. I was only joking. I am just catching cruise, testing my popularity,” Mandy Kiss said tearfully.
The influencer added that the controversial announcement was purely a survival tactic in Nigeria’s saturated social media space.
“I just felt I should shake the air when everything was dull. It was just to get more engagement. This is about hustle for survival. I cannot survive sleeping with 100 people. Even if I sleep with three men, I will die. Please, spare me Nigerians, don’t arrest me, don’t jail me. My parents are not rich. Show me mercy,” she pleaded.
Her plea followed widespread outrage after she posted a flier on Instagram, emblazoned with the Guinness World Records logo, announcing her plan to attempt the record-breaking sex marathon in Ikorodu, Lagos, on September 30, 2025.
The flier, shared to her nearly 400,000 followers, boldly stated her target: 100 men in one day.
Guinness World Records has since denied any involvement, stating bluntly: “We don’t monitor such attempts.”
… Monarch Demands Arrest, Drug Test
Among the most outspoken critics of Mandy Kiss’ stunt is the Eselu of Iselu Kingdom in Ogun State, Oba Ebenezer Akintunde Akinyemi.
In an open letter to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the monarch described the plan as “shameful, suicidal and a national embarrassment,” urging the government to take immediate action.
“It is disheartening to see a Yoruba girl from my state planning to embarrass her parents, her local government and Ogun State before the entire world. From my assessment, I don’t think she knows the implication of what she is venturing into. If she knows, she will not attempt this ugly incident,” the monarch said.
He warned that Mandy Kiss’ plan could lead to tragedy.
“Can she really survive what she plans to do? I am sure that men of the Nigeria Police Force will start arresting boys in Ikorodu if she dies as a result of this nonsense,” Oba Akinyemi added.
The monarch further described her as a “public nuisance” and called for her arrest, rehabilitation, and psychiatric evaluation. He also urged the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to subject her to a drug test, suggesting that her behaviour indicated possible substance use.
…”Moral Decay Needs Urgent Attention”
Beyond Mandy Kiss’ personal drama, the monarch said the saga reflects a broader moral crisis among Nigerian youths.
“The moral decay in our society needs urgent attention before everything goes out of hand. Our children who go online for legitimate reasons are exposed to the arrant nonsense some content creators like Mandy Kiss engage in. If we don’t regulate social media, more youths will embrace social vices,” he warned.
According to him, government intervention is not only about curbing Mandy Kiss’ excesses but also about safeguarding the moral compass of the younger generation.
Between “Cruise” Consequence
While Mandy Kiss insists her announcement was only a stunt, the backlash shows no sign of fading. Opinions remain divided.
Some Nigerians see her apology as a desperate attempt to evade arrest following the monarch’s intervention, while others argue that she merely exercised her right to free expression in a country where “cruise chasing” has become part of online culture.
