The Ogun state governor re-elected under the All Progressives Congress, Dapo Abiodun has said he won’t take his reelection by people of Ogun for granted.
The governor promised residents of the state a better future following his victory in the gubernatorial election.
Abiodun made the pledge via his official Twitter account minutes after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared him winner of the election.
Expressing his gratitude for his re-election as the governor of the state, Abiodun assured the people of his unwavering commitment towards ensuring even development and a brighter future for the state.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that Abiodun was re-elected with a total of 276,298 votes, close to him was PDP’s Ladi Adebutu who had 262,383 votes while ADC’s Otegbeye trailed with 94,754

, the incumbent governor wrote, “With a deep sense of gratitude and a heart full of appreciation, we sincerely say a BIG THANK YOU to the good people of Ogun State for entrusting us with yet another four-year mandate.
“We would not take this priceless opportunity for granted, as we remain fully committed towards ensuring an even development and a better future for our dear State.
“ÌGBÉGA 2023 – 2027; WE are FULLY ON COURSE!”
Abiodun’s victory has been welcomed by his supporters and party faithfuls, who have expressed confidence in his ability to take Ogun State to greater heights in the coming years.
One of the Twitter users, Ayandeko Oluyemi, @theonlygoodboi, tweeted, “Congratulations Dapo Abiodun, I hope you continue to give the best to the great people of Ogun during this your last regime as the governor.May the lors see you through.”
Another user, Michael, @Talk_mikel, tweeted, “Congratulations sir….let the ‘igbega’ spread across all cities and villages in ogun state.Our roads, education and security needs urgent attention for the necessary igbega.”
