In the spirit of the Christmas season, the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) Plc has extended warm wishes to all Christian faithful and the entire Nigerian populace.
Engr. Kingsley Achife, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of IBEDC, expressed the importance of unity and goodwill during this festive period, urging IBEDC customers to collaborate in creating a secure and harmonious environment.
Emphasizing their commitment to seamless service,  Achife assured customers that the technical team would be on standby to promptly address any electrical faults.
The company’s customer care line (07001239999) will remain active for quick responses to complaints and reports throughout the holiday season.
In a plea to customers, Achife urged the customers  not to resort to assaulting IBEDC staff, emphasizing that the dedication and hard work of the employees are crucial for delivering quality service.
He encouraged customers to channel their grievances through appropriate channels rather than resorting to violence.
Recognizing the potential increase in electrical hazards during festive seasons, Achife advised IBEDC customers to exercise caution and avoid unsafe practices such as unauthorized tampering with meters or attempting to bypass the electrical system.
He stated, “Christmas is a time for joy and reflection. Let us not compromise the safety of ourselves and others by engaging in activities that could lead to electrical hazards.
“I implore our esteemed customers to refrain from energy theft, as it not only endangers lives but also hampers our collective progress.”
To facilitate convenient bill settlement and vending, IBEDC encourages customers to utilize hassle-free payment channels such as iRecharge, Quickteller, Payarena, Jumia, Watu, Buypower, and ATMs.
These options ensure uninterrupted power supply during the holiday. IBEDC’s offices will also remain open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to efficiently serve customers during the festive period.
In summary, IBEDC reiterates its commitment to providing reliable service, urges customers to embrace safety and respect, and provides convenient payment options to enhance customer experience during this joyous season.
