In celebration of Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day, the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) Plc extends its warm wishes to all Nigerians while reaffirming its unwavering commitment to the nation’s development and progress.

Engineer Kingsley Achife, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of IBEDC, emphasized the importance of upholding the sacrifices and ideals of Nigeria’s founding fathers as guiding principles for a united and harmonious country.

He highlighted IBEDC’s dedication to contributing to national development through exceptional service delivery and the reduction of the metering gap within its franchise area.

To ensure a seamless service during the public holiday, the company has implemented measures to address electrical faults promptly.

IBEDC’s customer care line (07001239999) will remain active for efficient complaint resolution.

IBEDC’s Management also issued an important safety advisory, urging motorists to exercise caution by avoiding driving under the influence of alcohol and adhering to traffic rules to prevent accidents involving electric poles and other hazards during the festivities.

In addition, IBEDC implores customers to take a stand against energy theft, which includes tampering with meters or stealing electricity from the company.

Such practices not only undermine the integrity of the electricity distribution system but also jeopardize the sustainability of the power supply and rob the nation of crucial resources for development.

Engr. Achife encouraged customers to utilize IBEDC’s hassle-free payment channels, including iRecharge, Quickteller, Payarena, Jumia, Watu, Buypower, and ATMs, to conveniently settle their bills and recharge their meters.

IBEDC’s offices will also remain open during the holiday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to serve customers efficiently.

As Nigeria marks its 63rd Independence Day, IBEDC reaffirms its commitment to lighting up the nation and contributing to its growth and prosperity.
