The National Security Adviser, Mr. Nuhu Ribadu, has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s commitment to ending insecurity in Nigeria, declaring that the persistent threats will soon become a thing of the past.

Ribadu made this statement on Friday in Damaturu, Yobe State, while sympathizing with residents over the recent insurgency attack in the state.

He expressed confidence that the nation’s ongoing battle against terrorism and other forms of criminality would yield positive results shortly.

Praising the tireless efforts of the armed forces and security agencies, Ribadu acknowledged that their sacrifices had significantly improved the nation’s security landscape.

“The Federal Government is working around the clock to end insecurity, and it is only a matter of time before the entire country is secured,” Ribadu assured.

The recent attack in Yobe underscores the ongoing challenges faced by security forces, but Ribadu emphasized that the momentum is firmly in favor of Nigeria’s defense efforts.

In his remarks, the Minister of Finance, Mr. Wale Edun, who also visited the state, expressed deep sympathy for the victims of the insurgency.

He prayed for the families who lost loved ones and property, hoping that such tragic incidents would not reoccur.

The Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, expressed gratitude for the federal delegation’s visit, describing it as a morale booster for the people.

He urged Nigerians to continue supporting the government through prayers, particularly for President Bola Tinubu, stating, “His success is the nation’s success.”
