Governor of Jigawa State, Malam Umar Namadi, has promised a peaceful and credible conduct of the upcoming local government election.

Governor Namadi made the promise while addressing a crowd of supporters at the flag-off of the APC campaign for the forthcoming October local government council election held in Hadejia.

He said the local government election is one of the critical components of democracy in Nigeria.

Governor Namadi noted that his government is committed to ensuring the peaceful conduct of the election to strengthen democratic development in the state.

According to him, “Our party has, in the last 9 years, delivered the dividends of democracy to every community in the state.”

“You all bear witness to our commitment to improving the social and economic life of Jigawa State people through the execution of various projects and programs under our 12-point agenda.”

“Therefore, voting for APC candidates in all 27 local government areas will help us in our collective effort toward making Jigawa State great.”

“I call on all good people of Jigawa State to vote for our party candidates as we have confidence in their loyalty, patriotism, transparency and commitment to serving the state and humanity according to our party’s philosophy and our 12-point agenda,” the governor Namadi.
