The Kaduna State Environmental Protection Authority (KEPA) has called for stronger coordination between Eco Blue Consultant and independent environmental cleaners to drive Governor Uba Sani’s environmental policy across the state.

Managing Director of KEPA, Dr. Yusuf Yakubu Arrigasiyyu, emphasized the need for synergy among environmental stakeholders to effectively implement the administration’s comprehensive environmental agenda.

He said the policy aims to transform Kaduna into a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable state through improved waste management, public-private partnerships, enforcement of environmental laws, and community engagement.

Speaking during a stakeholder engagement in Kaduna, Dr. Arrigasiyyu stated: “The success of Governor Uba Sani’s visionary environmental policy depends on our ability to work together seamlessly. Eco Blue Consultant, as a strategic environmental partner, and independent cleaners operating across the 23 LGAs must complement each other’s efforts.”

He stressed that KEPA is committed to creating a harmonized operational structure that will eliminate duplication, prevent conflicts, and ensure efficiency in service delivery.

To this end, KEPA is instituting a harmonization framework that includes: Clear definitions of roles and operational boundaries, Regular joint planning and review meetings, Feedback mechanisms to incorporate community input

According to Dr. Arrigasiyyu, the collaboration is not just about coordination but about building a unified front to address Kaduna’s environmental challenges. “KEPA will continue to facilitate dialogue and oversight to ensure this model succeeds,” he said.

The agency also called on local government councils, community leaders, and residents to support the model and take ownership of environmental cleanliness as a shared civic duty.

“As we position Kaduna as a model for environmental innovation and sustainability in Nigeria, KEPA remains committed to transparency, accountability, and results-oriented service delivery,” Dr. Arrigasiyyu added.

The move is seen as a crucial step toward aligning all players in the environmental sector under a unified strategy, strengthening the impact of Uba Sani’s green governance agenda.
