In a swift response to a media report suggesting that the Chief of Staff to the Kaduna State Governor, Mohammed Sani Kila, was confronted by a local hotel management over an alleged unpaid bill, the Kaduna State Government has vehemently refuted the claims.

In an official statement titled “The Rash of Mischiefs against Sani Kila, Chief of Staff to HE Governor Uba Sani,” the state government labeled the story as “false, misleading, and mischievous.”

Issued by Ibrahim Aliyu Giwa from the Office of the Chief of Staff to the Kaduna Governor, the statement identified the author of the report as a “well-known mischief maker” who aimed to tarnish the reputation of Chief of Staff Kila.

The government categorically stated that Kila had never stayed or lodged at the mentioned hotel and resides in his personal residence within the state capital.

Contrary to the claims made in the report, the hotel in question was reserved for temporary accommodation of newly appointed staff while awaiting the processing of their accommodation allowances.

This practice, the statement emphasized, is a standard right for newly appointed public servants in their initial 28 days of service.

The statement also clarified that the hotel management is well-acquainted with the government’s procedures for payments and is currently pursuing their rightful claims through official channels.

The government further highlighted that the hotel management has publicly distanced itself from the inaccurate and malicious report.

Describing the author of the report as a “meddlesome interloper,” the government asserted that the intention behind the report was to distort the truth and undermine the efforts of Chief of Staff Kila.

The statement attributed these actions to a deliberate attempt to mislead and discredit the Chief of Staff.

In line with the transparency policies of Governor Uba Sani’s administration, the Office of the Chief of Staff took the initiative to set the record straight and provide accurate information regarding the incident.

The government therefore pleaded the public to disregard the fabricated story and treat it as baseless misinformation.

Also, the statement urged readers to discard the false narrative and ignore attempts to propagate falsehoods, reaffirming its commitment to open and honest governance.
