Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Dr James Kanyip, has said Kaduna State has witnessed a new paradigm of governance, which is defined by fairness, equity and inclusion, under the God-fearing leadership of Governor Uba Sani in the last two years.

He made this known at the interdenominational prayer service to mark the mid-term anniversary of the Governor Uba Sani administration, at the United English Baptist Church, on Sunday.

Dr Kanyip pointed out that the governor ‘’has ensured that every citizen, regardless of faith, ethnicity, or region, has a voice in this administration. From the appointments of capable sons and daughters across faiths and zones, to the implementation of development projects in every part of the State, His Excellency has proven himself as a true servant-leader.’’

The Commissioner who thanked God for the gift of peace, noted that it was the precious gift that Kaduna had been yearning for in a long time.

‘’Today, we can confidently say that Kaduna State is no longer the theatre of violent ethno-religious conflicts as it once was. Through purposeful leadership and your sustained prayers, peace has been restored, nurtured, and steadily blossoming across our land,’’ he told the congregation.

According to Dr Kanyip, the Governor has prioritized citizen engagement through various fora that includes town hall meetings, policy dialogues, and grassroots consultations where voices are not only heard but respected.

Kanyip who is a Knight of Saint Mulumba, said Governor Uba Sani ‘’ regularly interfaces with religious and community leaders, not just as stakeholders, but as partners in progress. This is leadership that listens, unites, and uplifts.’’

He thanked religious leaders, and every praying Christian for their maturity, spiritual guidance, and continuous intercession for the peace and prosperity of Kaduna State, adding that ‘’your prayers are felt. Your support is making a difference, and you are sowing seeds of peace, unity, and development that will bear fruit for generations to come.’’

The Commissioner appealed to the congregation to continue praying ‘’ for our Governor and all those in authority. Pray for wisdom; pray for strength; pray for discernment and grace to lead with humility and justice.’’

‘’Let us continue to obey the scriptural injunction to love, honour, and intercede for those God has placed in authority over us, not out of compulsion but as an expression of our faith and patriotism,’’ he reminded.

On behalf of the Governor, he promised the spiritual leaders and all Christians ‘’of continued good governance, a government that places people above politics, justice above bias, service above self, and a government that will not relent in its quest to uplift the welfare of all citizens no matter their ethnicity and religion.’’

Dr Kanyip noted that ‘’security is improving, and our communities are safer. Our people are more hopeful. Our economy is showing signs of progress. Opportunities are opening up, and the dignity of our people is being restored. These are not mere coincidences; they are the fruits of intentional, inclusive, and people-centered governance.’’
