In a remarkable feat, Collins Whitworth, a 400-level civil engineering student at Bayero University Kano, has set a new Guinness World Record for the most faces painted by an individual in 24 hours.

Commencing his artistic journey at the new Bayero University Campus on Saturday at 5:00 pm, Whitworth successfully painted a staggering 791 faces by the end of the 24-hour marathon on Sunday.

He now awaits official confirmation from the Guinness World Record authorities.
The event drew significant support from both fellow students and residents of Kano, who gathered in large numbers to cheer Whitworth on as he pursued this extraordinary achievement.

Expressing his motivation, Whitworth revealed that he aimed to surpass the existing record of 700 faces, having set a personal target of 720.

Notably, he had been assigned a benchmark of 705 by the Guinness World Record.

For Whitworth, face painting represents more than just a creative endeavor – it is a medium to convey profound messages of love, unity, and peace to the world.

He believes that the true beauty of painting lies in its ability to symbolize and promote these essential values.

Acknowledging the overwhelming support from his backers and the university community, Whitworth shared that, to embody the ideals of peace and unity, he incorporated colors representing various countries in his artwork.

Through his paintings, he advocates for global harmony and unity
