Kogi Man Arrested for Luring Friend to Burial Ground, Slitting His Throat

The Kogi State Police Command has apprehended a man, identified as Abdulmuqeet Musari, for allegedly luring his 19-year-old friend, Usman Tijani, to a burial ground in Adavi Local Government Area, robbing him of ₦200,000, and slitting his throat.

Tijani, a Point-of-Sale operator and a 200-level Cybersecurity student at Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara, was attacked on December 24, 2024.

He was later found critically injured and is currently undergoing surgery at a hospital in Lokoja.

A family member of the victim, Zainab Avosuahu, recounted the incident, stating that the suspect allegedly lured her nephew into the bush, robbed him of ₦200,000, and then slit his throat.
