This unwavering commitment was conveyed through a statement released by the SWC and the Labour Party Governorship Campaign Council.

The statement, which outlines the party’s determination, was shared with the media in Owerri, the capital of Imo State.

The statement declared, “Our campaign is in full gear, and we are fully prepared to ‘Take Back Imo’ State and entrust it to our people.

Therefore, we are establishing our campaign council, comprised of eminent Imolites and dedicated party members.”

The formal inauguration of this newly formed campaign council is scheduled for Tuesday, September 12, 2023, just ahead of the official commencement of election campaigns.

All members of the campaign council are expected to be present at the inauguration ceremony, which will take place at the Senator Athan Achonu Campaign Headquarters, located at 158, MCC Uratta Road, Owerri, Imo State, starting at 11:30 a.m.
