Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that defender Ferland Mendy has signed a new contract with the club.
Ancelotti spoke at his pre-match press conference ahead of Real Madrid’s LaLiga clash with Alaves on Tuesday.
Real Madrid head to the Alaves game following a 4-1 win over Espanyol in their last game.
Speaking to the media, Ancelotti said of Mendy: “We are delighted with him, he has renewed his contract and he’s doing very well.
“Defensively he is playing at a very high level. I don’t ask him to operate on the ball like other full-backs because we have a very strong left winger. He can also do the offensive work, but we don’t ask that of him.”
