In a disturbing incident that unfolded on August 18th, a 27-year-old man named Gabriel Gibson, commonly known as “Ogidi,” has been apprehended by authorities in Enugu State, South-east Nigeria.
He stands accused of sexually assaulting his friend’s wife in the sanctity of her own home at 5 a.m.
The victim, who resides with her husband in the same house where the incident occurred, endured this horrifying ordeal.
Enugu State’s police spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent Daniel Ndukwe, confirmed this development in an official statement released on Wednesday.
Ndukwe reported that the suspect was taken into custody on August 21st at approximately 10 a.m. by diligent police operatives from the Oji-River police command.
He said,” The suspect was arrested on 21 August around 10 a.m. by police operatives serving in the Oji- River police command”.
The investigation is still ongoing, with authorities striving to piece together the full details of this harrowing incident.
