While emphasising strict adherence to the message of compassion and kindness that the life and teaching of Prophet Muhammad embodied, the governor noted that his government remained committed to initiatives and interventions that will lessen the pains of the moment and ensu a better tomorrow.

The statement reads, “On this blessed day, I extend my joyous wishes to Muslim faithfuls, particularly in Osun state, as we commemorate the birth of the Holy Prophet of Allah, Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him),” Governor Adeleke noted in a felicitation message.

“Prophet Muhammad was a blessing of our Allah to mankind as he not only lighten our journey on Earth but also serve as an assurance of a better place in the afterlife.

“As we celebrate the blessing that his birth serves on humanity, I urge us all to embrace his draw from his timeless wisdom in building a just and harmonious society.

“As much as we celebrate the significance of this day, we must not let the message of peace and unity, which is the hallmark of Prophet Muhammad’s life, be lost on us, and that we strive to embrace the principles of love and kindness that the Holy Prophet embodied.”

The governor reiterated the commitment of his government to religious harmony, which he says will foster enduring peace and stability, leading to a prosperous society.
