…Warns Security Agencies, Members Against Further Dealings With Them
The national leadership of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, a Fulani socio-cultural association, has suspended its state chairmen in Taraba, Bauchi, and Adamawa states over alleged misconduct, poor performance, and neglect of members’ welfare.
The suspension, which takes immediate effect, was announced in a statement issued on Thursday in Keffi, Nasarawa State, by the association’s National Public Relations Officer, Mallam Mohammed Suleiman.
Suleiman said the decision followed “several petitions and complaints” received from Fulani pastoralists in the affected states, which were investigated by the national leadership before the sanctions were imposed.
He identified the suspended officials as Bammi Bello-Jane of Taraba, Muhammed Hussaini-Buzaye of Bauchi, and Usman Abubakar-Yirlabe of Adamawa.
“After thorough scrutiny and consideration of numerous complaints from Fulani pastoralists, the National President, Alhaji Abdullahi Bodejo, has approved the suspension of the three state chairmen with immediate effect,” Suleiman said.
He explained that the disciplinary action became necessary due to “poor performance, lack of representation, and failure to cater to the welfare and interests of members in their respective states.”
The Miyetti Allah spokesman added that the measure was part of efforts to restore trust and confidence among members and reposition the association for effective service delivery.
“The decision aims to rebuild members’ faith in the leadership and to ensure that the association’s integrity and core values are not compromised,” he added.
Suleiman further cautioned government agencies, security institutions, and traditional stakeholders to desist from recognising or engaging with the suspended officials, warning that any attempt by them to act in an official capacity would attract legal consequences.
“We urge all members and stakeholders to recognise and respect this decision. Any attempt by the suspended chairmen to parade themselves as leaders or members of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore will attract prosecution in accordance with the law,” he stated.
He reaffirmed that the national leadership under Bodejo remains committed to the welfare of Fulani herders and to promoting peaceful coexistence among pastoral communities across Nigeria.
“The association will not tolerate any act capable of bringing it into disrepute or undermining its integrity,” Suleiman stressed.
