A man identified as Alhaji Tijani Yakubu was lynched by enraged youths in Kabusa village, Abuja, on allegations of causing the disappearance of one Emmanuel Danladi’s manhood.

The FCT Commissioner of Police, Haruna Garba, revealed this while addressing journalists at the command’s headquarters on Wednesday.

He mentioned that police officers from Kabusa Division rescued the injured victim and transported him and the complainant to the hospital for medical attention and examination.

However, Alhaji Tijani was declared dead by the attending doctor, while Emmanuel Danladi’s genitalia was confirmed to be intact and functional.

The commissioner stated that the accuser (Danladi) is in custody, along with two others who took part in the mob action that resulted in Tijani’s death.

He added that they will soon face charges in court.

The CP also disclosed another case of mob justice that occurred on October 21, 2023, at Apo Primary School, where the police rescued Mathew Michael from an angry crowd.

“In a similar incident on 21/10/2023, following a distress call that Mathew Michael, also known as ‘Stress D,’ was about to be lynched by an angry mob at Apo Primary School, police operatives from Apo Division quickly responded and rescued him. The lifeless body of an unidentified male was also found on the ground.”

“Preliminary investigations revealed that Mathew Michael and an individual named Ezekiel, a wanted and notorious cultist currently at large, were responsible for the deceased’s murder, which led to the mob action against Mathew Michael.

The suspect is cooperating with the police in efforts to apprehend his accomplice, who is currently evading arrest,” the statement added.
