Mohbad anniversary: ‘Don’t make yourself sacrificial lamb for anyone – Actress Opeyemi Aiyeola

Popular Nollywood actress, Opeyemi Aiyeola has warned her fans not to make themselves sacrificial lamb for anyone irrespective of the relationship.

Opeyemi stated this while reacting to the first year anniversary of the singer Mohbad’s death on Thursday.

In a post on her Instagram story, Opeyemi shared some of the lessons learnt from the case.

“It’s been 1 year since Mohbad transitioned and a lot has happened, still happening.

“Few lessons learnt, the risk of getting your conscience dirty for wealth is not worth it in the end.

“The love for money and fear of supreme influence will turn even your blood and loved ones against you. Human survival instincts are not respecter of love, loyalty, blood or friendship.

“Poverty will forever be tool in the hands of the wealthy. Try not to put yourself forward as the sacrificial lamb for anyone (I’m doing this for my family or siblings and parents) because your sacrifice will be robbed in the mud.”

DAILY POST reports that Mohbad died on September 12, 2023, under questionable circumstances.

Following the calls for justice by Nigerians, his body was exhumed for an autopsy at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH, on September 21, 2023.

In June 2024, nine months later, the pathologist who carried out the autopsy noted that the test could not ascertain the cause of the singer’s death.

Reacting to the development, Mohbad’s family demanded an independent autopsy.
