The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has declared wanted a Nigerian singer and social media influencer, Darlington Okoye, also known as Speed Darlington, over alleged rape, cyberbullying and cyberstalking.

This was contained in a statement shared via the agency’s official Instagram handle on Friday.

The statement read: “WANTED BY NAPTIP. Darlington Okoye, aka Speed Darlington, is wanted in connection with alleged offences including rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.

“Anyone with credible information on his whereabouts is urged to contact NAPTIP immediately. Call: 07030000203, [email protected].”

NAPTIP had earlier in May summoned Okoye for questioning over his claim of involvement in an affair with a 15-year-old girl.

In a letter signed by NAPTIP Head of Cybercrime Response Team, Ngamaraju Mangzha, and addressed to Okoye on May 28, 2025, the agency asked the singer to appear at its head office in Abuja on May 30, 2025 by 09:00am.

The agency, however, later confirmed receiving Okoye’s response where he sought the rescheduling of the questioning to June 26, 2025, citing that he had commitments and responsibilities.

But in another letter signed by NAPTIP Director of Information and Communications Technology and Coordinator, Cybercrime Response Team, Hakeem Lawal, the agency insisted it would not work with the singer’s schedule, giving him June 2, 2025, to appear in person at the agency’s Headquarters in Abuja.

But the singer reportedly failed to appear for questioning on the rescheduled date.
