The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Abeokuta Branch, has recorded notable achievements within the first month of its new leadership, led by Chairman, Chief ‘Kayode Aderemi.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that the developments made in July 2025 include initiatives aimed at improving member welfare, strengthening infrastructure, and building partnerships.
According to a statement obtained from the branch leadership, among the key achievements is the free distribution of official NBA ID cards to members to aid identification and access to branch benefits.
The statement added that the branch also entered into a partnership with OOPL Cinemas to offer members discounted movie tickets, and another with Oluwalogbon Electronics to allow members to purchase gadgets and appliances through a credit scheme.
In a bid to improve its physical environment, the administration also renovated the outer walls of the NBA Centre in Abeokuta.
A major highlight of the month was the donation of ₦1 million by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr. Olusegun Fabunmi, towards the Bar Centre Building Project.
Speaking on the progress, Chief Aderemi thanked members and the executive committee for their support, noting that the achievements reflect the administration’s commitment to service.
“We are excited about the progress made within just one month in office. These achievements reflect our commitment to improving the welfare of our members, fostering partnerships, and enhancing our infrastructure,” he said.
He added that more projects were underway to further improve the legal community in Abeokuta.
The branch urged continued support from members and stakeholders as it works to advance the profession in Ogun State.
