The Nigerian Bar Association Young Lawyers Forum (NBA-YLF), Ota Branch, has recorded notable achievements since the inauguration of its new chairman, Mr. Bolaji Kuyebi, Esq, ACArb, in April 2025.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that the developments made under his leadership include initiatives aimed at empowering young lawyers, promoting innovation, and fostering collaboration.
According to details obtained from the branch leadership, among the key achievements are the organization of impactful events and programs.
These include an Inaugural Meeting and Lecture featuring Mr. Mofesomo Tayo-Oyetibo, SAN, FCIArb, who delivered an inspiring lecture on “Building a Purpose-Driven Legal Career: Ethics, Excellence, and Endurance.”
The event was graced by the Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ota Branch, Chief K.K. Ajose, Esq., her Executive members, Mr. Sola Ojutalayo, SAN, and other distinguished members of the Bar.
The branch also hosted a Webinar on Building a Career in Entertainment Law with Simisoluwa Oyelude, Esq, Partner at G. Elias, guiding young lawyers on building sustainable careers in the creative industry.
Additionally, the branch participated in a Novelty Football Match with the Young Lawyers Forum, Abeokuta Branch, promoting bonding, wellness, and cross-branch unity, where the YLF Ota Branch proudly clinched awards for Best Goalkeeper, Best Player, and Best Goal of the Match.
Mr. Kuyebi also appeared on a two-part live TV interview on Ogun State Television (OGTV), aired on 18th and 25th June 2025, on the topic “Resolving Everyday Conflicts: Your Rights and Options Beyond the Courtroom.”
Speaking on his vision, Mr. Kuyebi said: “I have been guided by one unwavering mission: To nurture bold, informed and purpose-driven young lawyers who will shape and elevate the future of the legal profession in Nigeria and beyond.”
Under his leadership, the Young Lawyers Forum, Ota Branch is rapidly emerging as one of the most active in Nigeria, with more impactful programmes in the pipeline.
