Legendary Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has said that 32-year-old attacker Neymar should have won five Ballon d’Or awards.
Buffon stated this in a recent interview with Corriere della Sera while speaking on the best opponents he faced during his career as a professional footballer.
“It’s hard to pick. I played against three generations: Zidane, Ronaldo, Messi, Cristiano, Iniesta… Choose one? Neymar.
“For the player he is and the person he is, he should have won five Ballon d’Ors.”
Neymar currently plays for Al-Hilal in the Saudi Arabia League.
The Brazilian has played for club like Santos, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona in the past.
Neymar combined with Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi to form the dangerous attacking line during their time at Barcelona, known as the dreaded MSN.
