In a decisive move to maintain peace and security in the South-East region, the Nigerian Air Force has  launched a series of precision strikes on camps associated with the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its paramilitary arm, the Eastern Security Network (ESN).

On Tuesday, the Air Force executed multiple targeted strikes at separate locations within Imo and Anambra states, specifically in Mother Valley Orsumughu, Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, and Aku Ihube, Okigwe Local Government Area of Imo State.

Preceding this operation, the Air Force had received actionable intelligence indicating plans by the said terrorist groups to disrupt civic activities across the South-Eastern region.

This highly coordinated operation was achieved through collaborative efforts between the Air Force, ground troops, and various security agencies.

Its primary objective was to neutralize potential threats by targeting locations suspected to harbor arms and ammunition belonging to the militants.

The success of these strikes was evident in the visible explosions and the fleeing of terrorists from the targeted locations.

The Nigerian Air Force, along with other security agencies, remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring the safety and freedom of all Nigerians, regardless of their place of residence.

The support of the entire Nigerian population is deemed essential in defeating criminal elements whose sole purpose is to instill fear and division among the citizenry.
