The Nigerian Correctional Service, on Thursday, celebrated the retirement of three senior officers and recognized outstanding staff for their dedication to the service at the new year party of the staff of the state headquarters of the Nigerian correctional service.
The ceremony, attended by top officials and well-wishers, where retired officee were recognized and honoured for their contributions to the service during their service year,saw Deputy Controller of Corrections (DCC) Stephen, Dr. Folabi Rahman (represented by his wife), and CCC Aina Felicia Tomori honoured for their years of commitment to the correctional service.
The Controller of Correction Ogun state command, CC Kamoru Abioye Adeshina, was also commended for his leadership and service.
In a demonstration of support,the chairperson of the organising committee,DCC, Olukemi Diya, presented all the retired staff with gifts.
Also, Loveworld Ministry Christ Embassy presented awards to select correctional personnel and donated two bags of rice to the centre, reinforcing its ongoing humanitarian outreach in correctional facilities across the state.
The event was filled with emotional moments as colleagues, friends, and officials offered prayers and goodwill messages to the retirees, wishing them a peaceful and fulfilling post-service life.
High-profile attendees included the Controller of Corrections, the Officer-in-Charge of OBA, Head Chaplain Mr. Sanusi, Ogun State Command PRO, and welfare officers from various commands including Sagamu, Borstal, Ijebu-Ode, and Ibara, among others.
Also in attendance, were the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Asst. Commander General, represented by DCC Bunmi kuti ; Federal Fire Service ; Code of Conduct; and Director of the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria.
The ceremony highlighted the importance of recognizing service and fostering a culture of appreciation and support within the correctional community.
