Nigerians know biblical history but ignorant of their ancestors – Yul Edochie

Nollywood actor turned preacher, Yul Edochie has stated that Nigerians have been brainwashed with biblical narratives.

Yul said this while criticising Nigerians for being knowledgeable about biblical heroes while being ignorant of their ancestral heritage.

DAILY POST reports that Yul had earlier in January 2024, unveiled his own church, known as ‘True Salvation Ministry, TSM.’

Speaking in a recent post on his Facebook page, Yul noted the need for Nigerians to rediscover their cultural identity and delve into their own historical narratives, rather than concentrating on biblical personalities like Moses, Jacob and the people of Israel.

“We have been brainwashed to know everything about Moses, Isaac, Jacob and the people of Israel. Yet we know nothing about our ancestors, their exploits, and the great people in our lineage.

“If you don’t know who you are and where you are coming from, you will never know where you are heading to.”
