No fewer than 235 out 280 workers have been recruited into the Nigerian Civil Aviation Agency from the north in eight years, between 2015 and 2023 years.
A report obtained by PLATFORM TIMES shows that 84 per cent of the whole number of the workers were northerners while 16 remaining slots were ceded to southerners .
A breakdown of the figures in the documents seen shows that within the eight years period, 45 persons were recruited from Katsina alone, the home state of the outgoing Minister for Aviation and Aerospace, Hadi Sirika.
About 37 persons from Kaduna state were recruited, while about 12 are from Jigawa.
According to the report the total number of those recruited into the NCAA from the northern part of Nigeria during this eight year period is 235, while 45 people were recruited from the southern part, with the South West having 20, South South, 15 and South East 10.
The NCAA has repeatedly violated the Federal Character Act and subverted due process in its recruitment of staff in the eight years of President Muhammadu Buhari.
