The Chairman of the Northern States Governors’ Forum and Governor of Gombe State, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has expressed condolences to the acting Editor-in-Chief of Daily Trust Newspapers, Hamza Idris, over the demise of his mother, Hajiya Rabi, popularly known as Hajiya Umma, died early hours of Monday.

In a condolence message issued by his spokesman, Ismaila Uba Misilli, the governor described the late Hajiya Rabi as an exemplary mother and family pillar who lived a life of devotion, compassion and service to her family and community.

Governor Yahaya also conveyed the sympathies of the Northern States Governors’ Forum to the bereaved family.

“I extend our heartfelt condolences to Hamza Idris and his entire family over this great loss. The death of a mother is deeply painful, but we take solace in the exemplary life Hajiya lived.

“May Allah (SWT) forgive her shortcomings, accept her good deeds and grant her Aljannat-ul-Firdaus. I pray that Almighty Allah gives Malam Hamza and the entire family members the strength and fortitude to bear this huge loss,” he said.
