David Ariyo has been named the new captain of Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side, Sunshine Stars, DAILY POST reports.
Ariyo replaced Sunday Abe who announced his retirement from professional football last week.
The veteran goalkeeper was Sunshine Stars assistant captain last season.
Ariyo has been at the club since 2017.
Sunshine Stars will kick-start their 2024-25 campaign with a clash against Bayelsa United.
The game will take place at the Otunba Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu-Ode on Sunday (today).
