El-Kanemi Warriors tactician, Aliyu Zubairu, says his team’s intense preparation paid off against Nasarawa United.
The Borno Army defeated Nasarawa United 4-3 at the Lafia City Stadium on Saturday.
Zubairu, however, admitted that Nasarawa United is a good team.
“It’s a very good result for us, we prepared well for them, and we are glad we got a win,” Zubairu stated in a post-match interview.
“Nasarawa United are a very good side. We lost to them twice last season in the Nigeria National League.”
El-Kanemi Warriors have recorded four points from the two matches played in the league this season.
