Rivers United head coach Finidi George has reacted to his team’s 1-1 home draw against El-Kanemi Warriors.
It was the first time the Port Harcourt club have failed to win a game at home in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this season.
Rivers United however maintained top spot on the log despite the disappointing result.
“It was not a bad game in general, but I think they came, played counter-attacking football, and scored that goal.
“From that moment, we had to step up to see how we could get that equaliser,” Finidi told the club’s media.
The former Super Eagles coach is already looking forward to his side’s next game against Ikorodu City.
“We are not distracted; we will keep our focus on and see how we can go away and see what we can do. We have to get the players ready for Ikorodu City,” he added.
