Kano Pillars have denied owing their head coach, Usman Abdallah three months salary.
A radio station in Kano recently reported that Abdallah has not received his stipend for the past three months.
The Sai Masu Gida have now released a statement debunking the allegation.
“For clarity, Usman Abdallah was officially appointed as the Technical Adviser of Kano Pillars on August 6, 2024. As we are currently in the second week of October, it is clear that he has only been with the club for two months,” the club stated.
“The radio station’s claim of a three-month delay in salary payments is, therefore, impossible and demonstrates a lack of due diligence on their part.”
Kano Pillars will be away to Akwa United in a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 6 encounter on Sunday.
