The Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has arrested two suspected armed robbers.

The command’s spokesman, SC Ibrahim Idris-Abdullahi, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday in Kano.

He said that the suspects, both in their 20s and natives of Rangaza Ungogo Local Government Area, Kano, were arrested on Sept. 30, on the Eastern bye- pass, Hotoro near Mohiba Filling Station, Kano.

According to him, weapons recovered from the suspects included one locally made gun, knife and a cutlass.

He said effort is being made to apprehend two other accomplices who are still at large.

Idris-Abdullahi said that the suspects had been terrorizing residents of Hadejia Road and Dakata, Kano State.
He said that the suspects would be charged to court upon completion of investigation.

“The suspects were arrested on the same date at about 1:00 a.m., by a patrol team of the Corps attached to Area F Command.

“Investigation revealed that the suspects are into armed robbery, phone snatching and drug dealing among others,” he said.
