The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps of the Kano State Command, on Friday, has apprehended at least 93 suspects involved in a various forms of criminal activities within the state from January to March.
The NSCDC state Commandant, Mr Adamu Salihu, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kano on Friday.
Salihu said “the suspects were arrested for theft, vandalism and criminal breach of trust among others.
“Out of the 93 suspects, 29 were prosecuted before court of law, 57 suspects are under investigation and we secured seven convictions within the period.”
The commandant restated the organization’s dedication towards safeguarding and protecting all important national assets and infrastructure.
He however, enjoined residents to support security agencies with useful security information to keep the state safe, adding that security should be every citizen’s responsibility.
