    ODU’A Investment Company Announces Leadership Transition, Strategic Appointments

    Odu’a Investment Company Limited, a conglomerate owned by the six South-West states of Nigeria, has disclosed significant leadership changes, including the retirement of the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Adewale Raji, and the appointment of Mr. Abdulrahman Yinusa as the new Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2024.

    Mr. Raji’s retirement follows ten years of dedicated service during which he steered the company towards growth and profitability.

    Under his leadership, the conglomerate experienced a notable increase in Profit Before Tax (PBT) from N378 million in 2013 to a high of N2.2 billion in 2021.

     The company diversified into various sectors, including Agribusiness, Oil and Gas, and achieved substantial improvements in corporate governance.

    The incoming Group Managing Director, Mr. Abdulrahman Yinusa, currently serves as the Executive Director and Group Chief Financial Officer of Odu’a Investment.

     With over three decades of experience in the Financial Services Industry, he is set to implement the Board’s shared vision and plan while ensuring the continued execution of existing strategic projects.

    In addition to the leadership transition, Mr. Yemi Ajao has been appointed as the Executive Director and Group Chief Investment and Business Development Officer, effective January 15, 2024.

    Mr. Ajao brings over twenty years of extensive experience in various sectors, including oil and gas operations, corporate finance, real estate, venture capital, and private equity.

    Commenting on these changes, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, the Group Chairman of the Board, expressed gratitude to Mr. Adewale Raji for his exceptional leadership and professionalism. 

    He also congratulated the shareholders and the board on Mr. Abdulrahman Yinusa’s appointment, expressing confidence in his ability to take Odu’a Investment to new heights.

    In his response, Mr. Adewale Raji, the outgoing GMD, reflected on the significant changes witnessed during his tenure, expressing confidence in the accelerated transformation under Mr. Yinusa and the talent within the company.
