The Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security in Ogun State,Bolu Owotomo, has extolled the virtues of the immediate-past Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress in Ogun State, Comrade Emmanuel Abimbola Bankole, describing him as an accomplished union leader, university administrator, and community leader on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
In a heartfelt congratulatory message issued on Saturday, Owotomo lauded Bankole’s unwavering commitment to advancing workers’ welfare and contributing to agricultural development in Ogun State.
“Your life is a testimonial to the awesomeness of God and a shower of His unlimited grace,” Owotomo wrote.
“Your record of accomplishments is characterized by a resolute commitment to advancing progress on important issues impacting the entire workforce in Ogun State.”
Bankole was commended for his exceptional dedication to ensuring workers received their entitlements while he was NLC Chairman in the state.
Owotomo also highlighted Bankole’s consistent support for Governor Dapo Abiodun’s administration, describing him as a dependable ally whose advice has significantly promoted staff welfare.
“In the horticulture and agriculture sectors, you have demonstrated dedication, commitment, and meticulousness in beautifying our landscape while ensuring food security,” Owotomo added.
The commissioner concluded his tribute by praying for Bankole’s continued good health and long life, urging him to sustain his efforts in serving humanity.
Bankole, a staff member of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), has also been celebrated for his contributions to the academic community and broader societal development.
His 60th birthday celebration has drawn goodwill messages from various quarters, highlighting his impact across multiple sectors in Ogun State.
The birthday celebration was held on Sunday at the St. Andrew Anglican Church,Ibara,Abeokuta .
