The Ogun State Government has approved the appointment of Basorun Peter Oluwole Ogunbayo as the new Odemo of Isara Remo in Remo North Local Government Area.
PLATFORM TIMES reports that the approval was granted by Governor Dapo Abiodun on Tuesday, following ratification by the State Executive Council.
The government said the appointment forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen traditional institutions and deepen grassroots governance across the state.
Ogunbayo, from the Otete Ruling House of Isara Remo, was born on April 23, 1970, and is described as a seasoned businessman and community leader with longstanding ties to the town.
He had his early education at Army Children Primary School and Muslim High School, Sagamu, before proceeding to Ahmadu Bello University, where he obtained a diploma in Estate Management.
He later earned a degree in Marketing from University of Jos.
Ogunbayo began his career with the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing in Lagos before venturing into private business.
He is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of AMBA Properties Limited and other affiliated firms.
Through his enterprises, he has been credited with facilitating industrial growth, particularly along the Sagamu industrial corridor, contributing to job creation and economic development in Ogun State.
A prominent traditional titleholder, Ogunbayo holds the titles of Basorun of Isara Remo and Babalaje of Remo Land.
He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Directors and has played key advisory roles in community and church development.
The government expressed optimism that his emergence as Odemo would promote peace, unity, and accelerated development in Isara Remo and its environs.
