The governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party in Ogun State, Ajadi Oguntoyinbo has said he will drag the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC to court.
Speaking briefly after voting, Oguntoyinbo complained about the omission of his party’s logo on the ballot paper.
He also decried the violence that erupted in some part of Ogun State making electorates run from the polling units.
“I am disappointed at INEC, they have refused to put the logo of NNPP on the ballot paper during the Presidential election. Despite warning them after the election, we expected that it would change before the governorship election but no, it is still the same. I will go to court to challenge this.
“It is also disappointing that people can move about in the state because of security threats. The security is not well managed. We ran for safety at our polling units. That is unacceptable,” Ajadi said.
The Ogun State commissioner of police, Frank Mba has confirmed that some persons are currently in police custody.
He said he has been in talks with his 71 DPOs. he however didn’t give an exact figure of arrests made.
