In a commitment to alleviating the ongoing economic hardships, Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State assured both the state’s residents and the nation at large of the government’s steadfast dedication to implementing policies and programs aimed at cushioning the effects of the current economic situation.

Speaking during a Special Jumat Service marking the 63rd National Day Celebration at the Central Mosque in Kobiti, Abeokuta, the governor, represented by his Deputy, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, stressed the importance of patience during challenging times.

He emphasized that the federal and state governments were actively working to enhance the quality of life for the masses.

Abiodun also called upon citizens to offer prayers for continued divine guidance for the country’s leaders.

He expressed his administration’s renewed commitment to driving development across all corners of the state.

In his sermon, Alhaji Taofeek Amolegbe, the Mufasir of Egbaland, highlighted the nation’s struggles with insecurity and economic imbalances over the past 63 years.

He urged leaders not to betray the trust placed in them by Nigerians and to govern with a sense of responsibility.

Amolegbe expressed optimism that the country would see improvements by 2024 as it celebrated its 64th year.

Prominent rulers, including Oba Babatunde Ajayi, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, Oba Sikiru Adetona, and Oba Kehinde Olugbenle, congratulated Nigerians on reaching this milestone and encouraged all citizens to contribute to the nation’s development.

In his address, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya, the Permanent Secretary of the Bureau of Political Affairs and Administration, expressed gratitude for the nation’s journey of 63 years, acknowledging the challenges faced and thanking God for His mercy.
